It began with a simple frustration: most convenient snacks were either forgettable, overly sweet, or gone in two bites. Founder Orsan, an electrical engineer working long construction days, started making jerky that could actually hold up—proper beef, satisfying protein and flavours worth thinking about.
The recipes draw on Middle Eastern heritage, Australian ingredients and a stubborn amount of testing. We source for flavour, not shortcuts: bold spice, real savoury depth, and ingredients that earn their place.
Today, every bag is made for the desk drawer, the road trip, the worksite and the moments when a protein bar simply will not do.

How it started
I DIDN’T THINK
I LIKED JERKY.
Turns out, I just hadn’t tried the good stuff yet.
I’m Orsan, an electrical engineer who works in construction. Long days and early starts meant I was always hunting for something satisfying between jobs—but most snacks were either bland, loaded with sugar or gone in two bites.
Then I tried jerky. It was pretty good, so I did what any engineer with a stubborn streak would do: I went home and tried to make it better.
Batch by batch, I tested spice blends, pushed the heat and built flavours inspired by my Middle Eastern heritage and the food cultures I grew up around. The result is a range of jerky recipes built around bold, deliberately developed flavour.
Jerkin’ It isn’t trying to be a gym-bro brand or another beige “health food”. It’s real beef, made in small batches, with bold flavour and a sense of humour.
